1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site. We operate on our own with no ties to any government office. We do not store official criminal records and we cannot pull records, run official background checks, or file documents for anyone.

We identify Sherman County record custodians, including the Sheriff's Office, Oregon Circuit Court, Oregon State Police CJIS, and the Oregon Sex Offender Public Safety System, and may connect visitors with outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

• Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
• Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
• Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
• Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked tool must not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate. Oregon law restricts misuse of Oregon Sex Offender Public Safety System data, and conduct aimed at a registrant may bring criminal penalties. Registry information supports public safety awareness, not retaliation or vigilante action.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

Any legally regulated screening must come from Oregon State Police CJIS or a properly compliant consumer reporting agency, not from this resource.

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Sherman County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, distributing, modifying, or building upon that material requires prior written permission.
